Update: Love Island's return date has finally been officially confirmed.

Mark your calendars for the reality show's return on June 3 – as announced on ITV2's Twitter feed on Monday morning (May 20) along with the hashtag #DayDotIsComing.

Original story (May 2): Caroline Flack has accidentally revealed when Love Island is returning – and viewers don't have long to wait.

The presenter recently teased the new series by posting an Instagram Story of her filming promos in front of a green screen.

Caroline then let slip that Love Island will be back in just three weeks, after joking that her personal trainer has put her through "utter hell" in preparation for the show.

"I have just trained with Bradley Simmons and he put me through utter hell. Making me do weights that I should not be lifting but he says we only have three weeks before Love Island starts or for Love Island prep, so we've got to work hard," she said.
