One Direction: On The Road Again tour ticket demands soar after boy band confirm hiatus.

It will be the last time fans will see them perform for a while so it comes as no surprise that One Direction are enjoying an increase in demand for tickets on their On The Road Again tour.

Singers Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Niall Horan will be wrapping up their latest world tour in Sheffield on 31 October, before embarking on a lengthy "hiatus" for the majority of 2016. Ticket marketplace StubHub have revealed that since the break announcement, there has been an increased interest in tickets for the remaining dates.

Nick Harford, interim international general manager at the company, told IBTimes UK: "It appears fans don't want to risk missing out on seeing Harry, Louis, Niall and Liam perform ahead of their extended break, with their final tour date at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield on 31 October.

"Following One Direction's announcement of a year long hiatus, we've seen unprecedented interest in tickets for their shows on StubHub.co.uk. Since Sunday, we have seen a three-fold increase in demand for tickets, and on 24 August, visits increased to over nine times more than the same time last week. Despite increased demand, there are tickets being listed for as low as £58 ($89) inclusive of booking fees."
