The Verve, Wham! And Snow Patrol Manager Dies.

Jazz Summers, who managed bands such as Wham!, The Verve and Snow Patrol, has died.

The 71-year-old co-founded Big Life Management 29 years ago and helped shape the careers of many of Britain's most successful artists.

His stable included Lisa Stansfield, Soul II Soul, Badly Drawn Boy, Klaxons, La Roux, Scissor Sisters, The Futureheads, London Grammar and Yazz, his ex-wife.

Summers' artists sold more than 60 million albums and 72 million singles worldwide, his company said.

There were more than 100 Top 40 singles along the way.

Summers had been battling lung cancer for the last two years.

A spokesman for Big Life Management said: "The music industry has lost one of its most vibrant, most notorious and most brilliant characters.
