George Clooney used his celebrity for good on Thursday when he stopped by a small sandwich shop that helps the homeless people in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The 54-year-old actor drew a crowd of 200 onlookers and reporters as he arrived at the establishment which helps to both feed and employ the homeless. Clooney posed for selfies, shook hands, and signed autographs before praising the project.
“I like what they’re doing, I think it’s a very important cause. I think the idea that we can all participate in everyone’s difficulties is really important,” he told reporters. Inside the café, Clooney reportedly donated $1,000 and sampled some goodies.
