Prince Attacks Ticket Touts As Sale Is Delayed.

Prince fans have been left frustrated and angry after a planned sale of tickets for his new UK tour was postponed at the last minute.

Earlier this week the music star announced that he will play three dates in Glasgow, London and Birmingham in two weeks time.

Thousands of people logged on to ticketing websites in the hours before the preplanned sale only to find a message saying it was not going ahead.

Ticketmaster UK tweeted: "On sale of Prince - Piano & a Microphone tour has been postponed and will not be going ahead at 10am this morning.

"More details regarding purchasing tickets to follow."

But in a series of tweets on what appears to be his official account, the Purple Rain star hit out at people who buy tickets to sell them at inflated prices, comparing them to "vultures" and "scavengers".

He also retweeted fans who hit out at websites which allow tickets to be resold well above face value.

It comes on the same day that consumer group Which? called for a crackdown on ticket re-selling , saying it was a "stitch-up" for customers.
