Piers Morgan caused a stir over the weekend, after posting a picture of himself in a hospital bed, with oxygen feed going into his nose.

It came with the caption: “Bad news: I’m not dying. I can only apologise for all the distress I know this will cause some people.”

But the Good Morning Britain host, who was back on TV this morning, has said that he doesn’t even recall taking and posting the picture, which he did following ‘a minor procedure’, because he was out of his head on sedatives at the time.
