Adele's Hello reaches platinum status and celebrates third week at number one.

Adele’s Hello has achieved platinum status as it celebrates a third consecutive week at number one.

Hello, the fastest-selling song of the year and holder of the UK’s one-week streaming record, was awarded the status by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) after gaining more than 600,000 sales just three weeks after its release.

The track, her first from the upcoming album 25, racked up 34,000 more combined sales than this week’s number two, Justin Bieber’s Sorry, and was this week’s most-streamed track with 4.7 million listens.

A new entry in third place is 2014′s X Factor runner-up Fleur East with her debut single Sax.

This week’s highest climber goes to WSTRN’s In2, which rose 56 places to number four and was followed by MNEK & Zara Larsson’s Never Forget You in fifth.
