C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels talks about THAT red arm and says he's in 'total love' with new droid BB-8.

Anthony Daniels, who plays well-spoken golden droid C-3PO in Star Wars, has revealed his love for The Force Awakens’ new addition, BB-8.

Director JJ Abrams has added a new droid, consisting of a rolling ball with a domed head, in Episode VII of the film franchise.

Anthony, who played C-3PO in the original trilogy and has returned for the new film, told USA Today that BB-8 was a “huge revelation”.

He said: “From the second I saw – I don’t know if it’s a him or an it – total love. You will be knocked out by him, when you see BB-8… he is going to take everybody’s fancy.”

The 69-year-old then spoke about his character’s red arm, which is a surprise change to the droid’s appearance.
